ALESYS Learning Manager Certification

How Does LMC Work?

The Learning Manager CertificationSM process has four phases. Successful completion of all of these phases will result in your achievement of ALESYS Certified Learning Manager status.

Our Learning Manager CertificationSM process will prepare you to manage every learning experience more effectively.

Phase 1

Consists of four facilitated, interactive programs in ALESYS' Learning Manager CertificationSM curriculum:

The first three programs listed above are required for certification. They total seven days. The fourth program, PDSEL, is a one-day, optional program. The fifth program, MVLPE, is a two-day, optional program.

ALESYS' proven learning process will enable you to experience and practice new skills, concepts, and strategies in each program.

Competency is determined through skill demonstrations and written knowledge assessments completed after each program.

An ALESYS Senior Learning Manager will be available to help you work on areas that need improvement, as well as to provide answers to any questions you may have.

Phase 2

On-the-Job Practices

After successfully completing the professional development programs and knowledge assessments in Phase 1, you'll move to Phase 2. During this phase, you will facilitate four days of your own learning programs in your organization. You will complete and submit to ALESYS an On-the-Job Practice Action Plan for each training session you facilitate.

The On-the-Job Practice Action Plans are self-evaluation forms designed to prompt you to reflect on how well you did during your practice. You will also plan improvements to your learning management. Your On-the-Job Practices should be done with programs that you normally train.

An ALESYS Senior Learning Manager will provide feedback and coaching on your On-the-Job Practices. And, as in all phases, you are encouraged to contact your ALESYS Senior Learning Manager if you have any questions about training issues. We also provide a platform for you to share your self-evaluations and discuss your success with your own Manager, who plays an integral role in your professional development.

Phase 3

Video Demonstration

In Phase 3 you submit a two-hour videotape of actual training you manage in which you demonstrate your improved skills with a group of real Learners. This videotape can be of a continuous two-hour session, or of several segments totaling two hours. An ALESYS Senior Learning Manager will carefully evaluate your video using fifteen Learning Manager core competencies defined by ALESYS. You will receive customized feedback and coaching on the skills you demonstrated in the video.

Your video must not be produced until after you have successfully completed the four On-the-Job Practices. It must also be submitted within one year of beginning the Learning Manager CertificationSM process.

Upon successful completion of this Phase, your videos will be returned to you.

Phase 4

Learning Manager CertificationSM

Once you have successfully completed Phases 1 through 3, you will receive your Learning Manager CertificationSM packet. This packet will include a certificate verifying your achievement of ALESYS Certified Learning Manager status. You will also receive a camera-ready Learning Manager logo for use on your business cards and resume, as well as a lapel pin to wear in recognition of your certification as a Learning Manager. Your professional achievement in completing the steps to Learning Manager CertificationSM will continue to reward you, and you can always use ALESYS worldwide as a reference for having achieved Learning Manager CertificationSM.

As an ALESYS Certified Learning Manager, you'll become part of the professional network of ALESYS Learning Managers and create career-long relationships with fellow Trainers committed to a continuous process of growth and improvement.

By completing LMC, you also will have achieved worldwide recognition of your professional skills in managing the learning process!
